HOLD THE ROPE for the week of October 16, 2023

There is much for which to give thanks –

·        The start of three Good News Clubs® last week – Elwood, Morris, and virtual

·        News about Jeremy, one of our former GNC students – he was recently baptized at his church and his folks told us that he is sold out for God!

·        Our virtual club had kids from Tennessee, Indiana, Cook County, as well as kids from our chapter area

Please join us in asking God for –

·        Favor with Union School and R. C. Hill School – neither have responded to our application, we sent an email at the end of last week but no reply, our next step is to phone – ask the Lord to open the doors of these schools

·        Morris Grade School – club began last week, but many students said they didn’t get the flyers that we produced and brought to the school

·        The chapter newsletter was mailed last week – ask the Lord to use this especially to spark interest for our friend-raising event set for November 17 – Trivia Night

·        Christmas Party Clubs – pray that we might have many sites for these here in our chapter – churches, homes, and schools.  Interested?  Give us a call at 815.741.0366

·        Katrina, our state director, as she and other state directors meet at IHQ this week

·        Pray for our Good News Clubs – ask the Lord to bring even more kids – Galloway (Thursday), Elwood (Tuesday), Morris (Thursday), and virtual (Wednesday)

·        Our six TCE™ Level 2 students:  Susan, George, Marvella, Gertrude, Mark, and Mike – classes meet on Tuesday evening

·        The Lord’s financial provision for us during October; if you wish to give, go to the chapter website (www.cef3rivers.com) and click on the word “Donate” along the top of each page.  Thanks.

·        The members of our local committee:  Fred, Helen, Rick D, Rick L, Anna, Donald, Robert, Rita, and Bennie – pray they may each keep their eyes on the Master and have an ever-deepening relationship with the Lord Jesus – they are important to us

·        Us as we prepare presentations for upcoming events and services

·        Children – please remember our Lord’s mandate in Matthew 18:14 – the Father is not willing that any child should perish; with that in mind, we must always be faithful to pray for and teach the precious children

You are an important member of our team as you partner in prayer.  Thanks so very much!  Blessings, Mike Hebrews 12:1 – 3
