Hold the Rope for the week of October 9, 2023

Let’s begin by adoring and thanking our Lord for —

·        His never-ending, amazing love and grace

·        Our grandson and daughter-in-law who are both feeling and doing much better

·        His joy as we serve Him

Please join us in prayer for –

·        The chapter’s four new Good News Clubs® beginning this week:  Elwood School (Tuesday), virtual Zoom club (Wednesday), and Morris Grade School (Thursday), Free Christian Center Church (Friday); also pray for our club at Galloway School that meets on Thursday – please pray for each club and ask the Lord to bring children who are ready to hear

·        Our room-use applications we have made to Union School and to the Valley View District for R. C. Hill School – may we find favor with these administrations so clubs may soon begin in those locations

·        Our local committee meeting Tuesday evening – especially as they talk and plan for our No ember 17 friend-raising event

·        The TCE™ Level 2 students:  Mark, Mike, Marvella, Gertrude, Susan, and George – may each be learning and understanding

·        The chapter’s November 17 event – it is on social media and email; this week it goes in the mail with our chapter’s newsletter – please pray that many will be attracted and interested – Trivia Night in Plainfield

·        Christmas Party Clubs in our chapter – if you are interested in hosting and/or teaching one in your church or home, give us a call at 815.741.0366

·        The Lord’s financial provision for us during October; if you wish to give, go to the chapter website (www.cef3rivers.com) and click on the word “Donate” along the top of each page.  Thanks.

·        The members of our local committee:  Fred, Helen, Rick D, Rick L, Anna, Donald, Robert, Rita, and Bennie – pray they may each keep their eyes on the Master and have an ever-deepening relationship with the Lord Jesus – they are important to us

·        Us as we prepare presentations for upcoming events and services

·        Children – please remember our Lord’s mandate in Matthew 18:14 – the Father is not willing that any child should perish; with that in mind, we must always be faithful to pray for and teach the precious children

Thank you for joining in our prayer fellowship – this side of heaven, you and I will never know how important is this ministry of prayer. Blessings – Mike, Hebrews 12:1 – 3
