HOLD THE ROPE for the week of December 14, 2020
PLEASE NOTE: This will be the last “Rope” of the year – the next edition will be issued January 4, 2021
PRAISE AND THANK THE LORD FOR –
· The miracle of Jesus’ birth – His coming to earth so He might rescue us from the punishment of our sin – offer thanks
· The truth that He is our helper, stronghold, rest, our peace, joy, and steadfast
· This, His ministry worldwide to children and families
PLEASE PRAY WITH ME FOR –
· The ministry of “Good News Club TV” featuring Val – this week she is in Warrenton MO filming her fourth series – pray for her safety in travel and pray she may be effective in her teaching and presentation
· Rita – she spent a couple nights in the hospital with cardiac issues, but now thankfully is doing better
· The children enrolled in the Truth Chasers Club – pray they will be faithful to complete lessons and mail them in – may the Lord use this in the lives of hundreds of children
· The production of the chapter’s “Missions Ignite!” videos – our plan is to have the first series up and ready for viewing by the end of January – it will be the true story of Cameron Townsend, the founder of Wycliffe Bible Translators; ask the Lord to use this to teach saved children about missions and challenge them.
· The restart of our chapter’s virtual Good News Club which will begin on January 12 and 14 – we will be emailing and using social media to inform the kids of this; pray too for our volunteers who join us in teaching
· The chapter’s end-of-the-year newsletter which was emailed last week – may it be an effective tool of communication
· The possibility of doing a Teaching Children Effectively™ Level 1 class via Zoom – interested people should contact Val
· Al Blackburn’s continued strengthening and total recovery
· The international leadership of CEF – ask the Lord to protect this ministry; pray for the international board of trustees asking the Lord to impress upon these men and women His righteous desires for this vital ministry – many issues need to be wisely resolved and cared for
· The chapter’s end-of-the-year finances – ask the Lord to provide enough funds to completely pay all bills and obligations; if you sense the Lord urging you to partner with us – go to our chapter website (www.cef3rivers.org) and click on the “Donate Now” button found on the opening page. Thanks.
· The necessary change of plans concerning the chapter’s virtual Christmas presentation – we wish to always open to His plans and His direction
· Safety in these days of COVID-19 – may believers lead the way in doing the right things and making good choices
· Ruth Johnson and her son Lex who needs to know the Lord Jesus as Savior
· Our state chapters and camp – pray especially for Katrina in these days
· A safe holiday celebration across the nation
· Continued creativity and strength as this God-ordained ministry moves into the new year
We here at Three Rivers Chapter want to wish you a very Christ-honoring Christmas and a happy new year. We appreciate you and your prayer partnership more than words can express. Blessings – Mike
