HOLD THE ROPE for the week of October 19, 2020
Praise and thank the Lord for –
· The now 21 kids who have signed up for the chapter’s virtual Good News Club®
· Our TCE™ Level 2 students – Carol, Karen, and LaVerne
· His perfect supply for our September needs – He is trustworthy and faithful
Please pray with me for –
· The virtual clubs meeting this week on Tuesday and Thursday – each day from 4:00 until 5:00 – please ask the Lord to keep our Wi-Fi running well during those times and that we will be engaging for the kids and also that the Holy Spirit will be at work in the hearts of the kids to draw them to the Savior and His Word
· The chapter staff as we work on the virtual fund-raiser set for November 14 – we desire to lift up the Lord Jesus and glorify Him
· Any potential TCE Level 1 students willing to take this 30-hour course via Zoom
· The furtherance of the gospel during these circumstances (Philippians 1:12)
· Those who have received the DYWW booklets – pray that indeed the Holy Spirit will use these ministry tools to draw boys and girls to Himself, pray too for the families that have received them – may this truly be a valuable communication; pray for us as we seek others – we are grateful for the additional 105 we are giving out this week
· The leadership of CEF – ask the Lord to protect this ministry; pray for the international board of trustees asking the Lord to impress upon these men and women His righteous desires for this vital ministry; later this month state directors from across the nation will meet for their annual fall session there at CEF IHQ – pray for each individual participating
· Al Blackburn – his radiologist compared his recent MRI with past tests and was pleased with what he saw – we continue to pray for the Lord’s healing
· A school district in St. Anne (Kankakee County) that is distributing our virtual GNC hard-copy flyers to their students
· The children of North Korea
· The work of redesigning our chapter website – it should be up and ready in the next couple weeks – it is looking good!
· The salvation of Lex Johnson – Ruth Johnson’s son; keep Ruth in your prayers as well
· The TCE Level 2 students who will each present their Bible lesson practicum this Friday evening
· The chapter’s October financial needs – He has been so faithful through the years, for which we are eternally grateful. In order to meet all obligations, we will need $9,000 by October 30 – He is able. Through the years our God has proved His trustworthiness over and over again!
· This state-wide ministry with creative methods and ministry in all of our chapters – so many children and families may hear and have an opportunity to trust Jesus
