HOLD THE ROPE for the week of October 12, 2020
PRAISE AND THANK THE LORD FOR –
· Our quarantine ends Tuesday evening – we will return to the office on Wednesday (YEAH!!)
· Val’s first “Good News TV” series has premiered – a new episode will be made available every Friday on YouTube
· The chapter’s (along with NE Chapter) TCE™ Level 2 class is going strong – students are responding well
PRAY WITH ME FOR –
· The chapter’s virtual Good News Club® starts this week, meeting on Tuesday and Thursday – to attend go to our chapter website (www.cef3rivers.org) and register – pray this week also for Sue Wadas who will teach along with Steve and Mike; pray too for our ease at using Zoom
· The local committee meeting this Tuesday evening – especially as they work to set some details about the virtual fund-raiser event, “Hope is Rising”
· The children – ask the Lord to continue bringing the truth of His love and mercy to as many as possible
· Those who have received the DYWW booklets – pray that indeed the Holy Spirit will use these ministry tools to draw boys and girls to Himself, pray too for the families that have received them – may this truly be a valuable communication; pray for us as we seek others – we are working on a local church that is holding a trick or treat event on October 30
· The leadership of CEF – ask the Lord to protect this ministry; pray for the international board of trustees asking the Lord to impress upon these men and women His righteous desires for this vital ministry; later this month state directors from across the nation will meet for their annual fall session there at CEF IHQ – pray for each individual participating
· Al Blackburn – he’s doing well and sees some progress; we are asking the Lord to bring complete healing and restoration
· The children of North Korea
· The work of redesigning our chapter website – it should be up and ready in the next couple weeks
· The salvation of Lex Johnson – Ruth Johnson’s son; keep Ruth in your prayers as well
· The chapter’s faithful partners who pray – folks like you – who minister for us in prayer – as Peter Denakya of Slavic Gospel Mission often said, “Much prayer – much power; little prayer – little power!”
· The chapter’s October financial needs – He has been so faithful through the years, for which we are eternally grateful. In order to meet all obligations, we will need $9,000 by October 30 – He is able. If you would sense God’s leading to give, please go to the chapter website (www.cef3rivers.org) and click on the “Donate Now” button found on the opening page. Thanks.
· Carol, Karen, and LaVerne as they prepare their TCE Level 2 Bible lesson practicums
· This state-wide ministry with creative methods and ministry in all of our chapters – so many children and families may hear and have an opportunity to trust Jesus
You are faithful and we are thankful! Blessings – Mike
