HOLD THE ROPE for the week of September 21, 2020

THANK AND PRAISE THE LORD FOR –

·        Prayer – we may talk with the King!  What a privilege and also responsibility to come to the throne of grace in a spirit of worship

·        The opportunity to distribute more “Do You Wonder Why” booklets last week – now more than 4,400 have been shared

·        Those who are stepping up to volunteer with the chapter’s fall virtual Good News Clubs®

PLEASE PRAY WITH ME FOR –

·        Our TCE™ Level 2 students – they are required to present their missions practicum on Saturday morning – pray for their preparation and presentation (Karen, LaVerne, and Carol)

·        Those who have received the DYWW booklets – pray that indeed the Holy Spirit will use these ministry tools to draw boys and girls to Himself, pray too for the families that have received them – may this truly be a valuable communication; pray for us as we seek others – we still have 700 booklets

·        The leadership of CEF – ask the Lord to protect this ministry; pray for the international board of trustees asking the Lord to impress upon these men and women His righteous desires for this vital ministry

·        The one home GNC that will begin in October – pray for the leaders as they prepare and for the kids who will attend – ask the Lord to use this for the good of the children and for protection

·        Pray for Val as she returns this Sunday to IHQ for recording another “Good News TV” session – we praise Him for this opportunity to touch the lives of children throughout the nation; pray too for her this week as she studies her scripts and prepares for the taping

·        Al Blackburn – he’s doing well and sees some progress; we are asking the Lord to bring complete heling and restoration

·        God’s perfect provision for our September needs – looking for gifts totaling $9,000 by September 30 – He is able.  If you would like to financially partner with the Three Rivers Chapter – go to the opening page of our website (www.cef3rivers.iorg) and click on the “Donate Now” button.

·        The children of North Korea

·        The local committee and staff as we prepare for a live FaceBook telethon to benefit our chapter – Lord willing, this will take place sometime in November and will replace our traditional fall luncheon and silent auction; ask the Lord to use this for His glory and our good

·        Val as she begins to plan a virtual TCE Level 1 class that would start in early 2021 or perhaps even this fall

·        Steve as he organizes the virtual Good News Clubs; pray too we may find favor with school districts to get the word out to students about these clubs

·        The work of CEF throughout Illinois and our nation – may thousands of children hear the good news and choose Jesus as Savior

·        The salvation of Lex Johnson – Ruth Johnson’s son; keep Ruth in your prayers as well

What a joy it is to sit in worship and pray – to communicate with our Father who is sovereign and fully trustworthy!  Indeed, this is a precious opportunity for every child of God.  Thank you for bringing these praises and requests to Him.  Blessings – Mike
